Starlinn is one of the top Salsa dancers and Instructors in the world. She has been featured on many television and Newspapers in Asia. She has been invited as a guest performer, artist, teacher and judge for many overseas Salsa Dance Competitions, Festivals, Congresses and assignments including but not limited to USA, France, UK, Germany, Argentina, Cuba, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, India, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Taiwan. In 2006, Starlinn was also awarded the NUS Student Achievement Award in Arts and Culture for her achievements in dance. ANA PALMA Philippines Ana is a dance teacher and choreographer based in Manila, Philippines. Her expertise includes: Latin American Ballroom, Salsa, Belly Dancing & Samba. She is also the Organiser of the Manila Boracay Latin Dance Festival. Ana was professionally trained and entered the competitive dance circuit in 1999 at The Philippine DanceSport Competition. Her talents were immediately recognised and she began to consistently dominate and fight her way to the top for the next seven years at competitions across southeast Asia. In 2006 she decided to focus more of her attention on her professional career as an instructor. She worked for the next five years as a choreographer for ABC 5ʼs Shall We Dance, Philippines while simultaneously being the main physical fitness consultant for several large multinationals companies based in Manila.Experience Her most recent achievements include being the founder of Cachimbo Dance Company Manila and the Sueños Dance Studio. She is currently organising the Manila Boracay Latin Dance Festival. |
AGUSTÍN (SABAKI) & TIP
Madrid / Thailand Agustín Guijarro (SABAKI) from Madrid (Spain) is a passionate dancer of what he calls his threesome loves Kizomba, Salsa and Bachata. His passion pushed him throughout Europe, Africa, America or Asia looking for training with the best instructors around the world at their studios or through many congresses and workshops. In New York, he has been trained mainly in salsa with instructors as Eddie Torres, Frankie Martínez and Yamulee, but also other dance techniques such as Afrocuban, Ballet or Horton in prestigious schools such as Alvin Ailey School and Djoniba Dance Center. In Europe, he learned Kizomba mainly in Madrid and Lisbon through several congresses, workshops and classes with best instructors since 2009. Bachata is Agustin’s first love and he learned it from instructors - Daniel y Desiré, Korke & Judit in Spain and others such as Ataca & La Alemana and Troy & Jorget following them in several countries. In Senegal, he got in contact with the African percussion and other African dances and rhythms by the hand of Sonia Sampayo and other local instructors. Also learnt from other instructors - Carmen Soto for flamenco, and many other that Agustin has been following in an intensive congresses and workshops activity throughout more than 10 countries in the last years. Agustin has an extensive Kizomba background. Among the Kizomba congresses he remarks Sensualdance 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 editions, Lisbon Keta Kizomba Festival 2012, New York Kizomba Festival 2012, Kizomba Feeling Festival 2013, Benidorm BK 2013 and he received training from Kwenda Lima, Tonny Pirata, Afrolatin Connection, Helio Santos, Petchu, or Albir & Sara, Chavi y Marta to his favourite and main instructor Marisa Pita under whose direction and choreography he had his premiere perform in Madrid. His recent travels to Lisbon or Cape Verde provided him of a unique experience in their Kizomba scenes. Agustin is currently teaching Kizomba in Bangkok, he started up and hosted the first regular Kizomba dancing session in Thailand at Rumpuree World Dance Studio sharing all his vision and knowledge about this exotic dance that is growing so fast all around the world. Tip is from Bangkok. After her ballroom dancer mother passed away she found her dance shoes and she decided to put them on to get an idea why her mother felt in love with dancing. She started to learn tango at Rumpuree World Dance Studio because she loved tango music. Agustin met her at tango classes and discovered she has a talent for dance that needed to be developed and that in few time led her to become one of the best Kizomba dancers in Thailand. |

Singapore Esther was first introduced to dance through a Salsa class. Over the years, her passion for performing has driven her to train and pick up more dance forms and she is now versatile in a number of dance forms such as Salsa (On1/On2), Salsa Rueda, Bachata, Argentine Tango, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Pole, Exotic, Hip Hop, Reggaeton and Belly Dancing. Esther has had the opportunity in performing both locally and internationally. Some of her participation were in Singapore's Esplanade Da:ns Festivals 2011 - 2013, Singapore International Salsa Festival 2011 & 2012, Malaysia Salsa Festival 2010, Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2012. |
IVY KONG
Singapore Ivy started of her dancing with ballet and over the years, she picked up other dances and her passion grew and she has become well versed in these dances such as Salsa (On1/On2), Salsa Rueda, Bachata, Jazz, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Yoga, Pilates and Belly Dancing. Ivy has had a number of years of experience both in teaching and performing locally and internationally. Some of her participation were in Singapore's Esplanade Da:ns Festivals 2007 - 2009 & 2012, Singapore Salsa Festival 2006 & 2008, Singapore Salsa Congress 2006 & 2009, Singapore International Salsa Festival 2012, Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2010 - 2012, Taichung Salsa Festival 2007. Ivy is well known to be very technical in her classes. She ensures that all her students grasps the foundation and know it well. Despite being technical, her witty humour also makes her classes enjoyable to attend. |
JENNA WENG
Taiwan Jenna has been dancing Salsa and Latin Ballroom for the past 8 years. Her love and dedication for dance and music has taken her to train in other forms of dance such as Contemporary, Jazz, and Ballet. Her dance career started by teaching Latin Ballroom for two years. Now Salsa, and other Latin social dances has become her passion. Not only does she love the music, but she also loves the social part of it. Currently she teaches in various places in Taichung, Taiwan including gyms, True Dance and different studios. She also choreographs Bachata and Merengue routines for performance purposes for both dance students and corporate companies. She co-organised the 2010 and 2012 Taiwan Latin Salsa Festival held in Taichung Taiwan which left a great impression on all the top dancers that were invited during these two events, and the guests connected with top dancers including Ana Masacote, USA, Adrian y Anita Spain, Kadu & Larrisa, AU and Starlinn & Jaztin, Singapore. She has attended and learned Salsa from top instructors including Joel and Ana Masacote as well as in various congresses, and keeps training with her team. She joined with Total Xtreme Team for the group competition of 2010 Hong Kong Salsa Festival and won the 3rd place with the team. Right now, she is keen to share her passion with more people worldwide. |
JAMAL & P KENG
Morocco/Thailand Jamal was born in Casablanca Morocco and moved to New York City at the age of 13. He started learning Ballet and Jazz dance at a young age of 5 in Casablanca Morocco. He furthered his dance education at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre specialising in Ballet and Pas de Deux(lifts and tricks), Jazz, Modern (Martha Graham), and African when he moved to New York City and eventually went on and joined Alivin Ailey's second company and that was when his dance career started! Along the years, Jamal picked up Salsa and became very in to fitness and has even got black belts in Kyokushin Karate, Judo and Aikido! Jamal has had many years of experience in dancing and performing all over the world such as New York City, Las Vegas, Japan, Thailand as well as on cruises! Jamal specialises in Salsa On1, Salsa Cabaret, Jazz Dance, African Dance and Fitness programmes. Keng was first introduced to Salsa while taking Latin Dance classes at a fitness club in Bangkok. Salsa dancing has become her most favorite leisure activity since the beginning of 2005. Since then, she has travelled to several countries to broaden her Salsa dance experience. Keng has performed Salsa and related dance pieces for both local and international events since 2006. A profound passion for Salsa later led her to another new role. In 2007, she started teaching Salsa during her free time. She always feels grateful for being able to share her world of Salsa, where she experiences joyful moments and friendship, through teaching. |
LETITIA RATNAM
Singapore Letitia began her dance training in Ballet at an early age and completed the RAD Grades and Majors Intermediate Examination. Along the years, she picked up Modern and Jazz and completed her ISTD Majors Advanced and Gold Examinations. Under the tutelage of Starlinn, Letitia has had the opportunity to participate in numerous performances in Singapore, such as the Esplanade Da:ns Festival 2009 - 2013, Singapore Salsa Congress 2009, Singapore International Salsa Festival 2011 - 2012. She has also been featured on TV both as a dance artiste as well as an instructor, and has gone overseas on teaching and performing assignments in Hong Kong, Malaysia and China. Coupled with her exotic looks of mixed heritage, Letitia's sensual style is a pleasure to watch and experience on the dance floor. Singapore Angela also known as Lovebel to her Chinese fans started Ballet, Chinese and Modern dance at the age of 7 – setting a strong foundation for her dance career at an early stage. Her insatiable thirst for dance brought her to pick up a plethora of new dances like Salsa, Jazz, Bachata, ChaCha and Hip Hop. As an upcoming artiste, this new kid on the block is always bubbling with cheerful optimism and has a smile for everyone on the dance floor. Angela is known for her flexibilty, agility, flips and poise and is a favourite amongst her peers and students in demonstrating show moves with flair and precision. As one of the younger artistes and no stranger to the stage, Angela has performed and/or taught a wide range of dances like Salsa, Bachata, Jazz, Bollywood, Hip Hop, Modern, Chinese dance, Cha Cha, Cabaret, Kizomba, etc, at major dance productions such as the Esplanade Da:ns Festival 2009, MUSE II 2009, SSC 2009 and other overseas parties and events. |
MANGGOH
Shenzhen Manggoh is an international dance artiste and instructor who have taught and performed at Salsa festivals in Singapore, Taiwan, China, Maldives and Hong Kong. Manggoh started Hip Hop and Street Jazz dancing during his college days and only took up Salsa seriously in 2006. It was his first trip to Hong Kong Salsa Festival in 2006 that got him addicted to Salsa dancing. Since then, he never looked back and pursued formal Salsa training in ACTFA School of Dance in Singapore. He is currently actively promoting street style Salsa, Cha Cha and other partner dances such as Zouk Lambada, Bachata and Merengue in Hong Kong and China. MARCOS FONSECA
Brazil Marcos Fonseca from Rio de Janeiro Brazil , well known as The Sultan of Zouk, stated dancing at an early age and dedicated much from the 90's till now to dance and teach Hip Hop, Bachata, Kizomba, Lambada, Zouk, Brazilian African Dance, Latin Rhythms , Salsa , Jazz and more. as well as participating in many TV programs and shows as a dance and choreographer. A graduate of Physical Education from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, he specialized in fitness through dance. Using his Knowledge to make the dances more structural and safe, Moving to Europe in 1992 he made a name for himself teaching Hip Hop, Latin Rhythms, Lambada and Salsa, Now he is a top name of Zouk and KIzomba. He has taught his Unique style of dance and fitness dance classes and workshops in a total of 44 countries around the world so far. He is one the Zouk teachers with a lot of hard work, making "Zouk Conscience" growing in the planet introducing Zouk in more 10 countries. Marcos is currently teaching Brazilian ZOUK around the world, as well as hip hop , salsa partner , Bachata , Kizomba and choreography classes throughout all Asia in congresses, conventions and workshops of dance and fitness dance. |
MI JUNG
Korea Mi Jung started dancing when she was in middle school. The first dance she learned (and performed) was flamenco and it was when doing flamenco that Mi Jung knew she loved dancing. After which she picked up Argentine tango, samba, jazz, hip-hop, and of course Salsa. When she discovered salsa she fell in love with it right away. Mi Jung began teaching salsa korea and one of her favorite teaching projects evolves around a Korean internet community. She also loves conducting workshops and has taught as well as performed in Korea's major cities, Hong Kong, and Mainland China. Mi jung has team soul sisters. Soul Sisters is a new hot sensational all-gals HK-based performance team formed by MiJung of Korea. |

Singapore An avid Salsa dancer and instructor, Steven has performed and taught in various dance festivals and events like the Esplanade Dan:s Festival 2012 & 2013, Singapore International Salsa Festival 2012. He has been featured as an artiste on TV and internationally, such as Zouk South East Asia Festival 2012. His background in mixed martial arts like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Hapkido gives him an edge in his dancing, and he approaches all challenges with discipline and focus. He dances Salsa, Tango, Zouk, Bachata, Cha Cha, Jazroc, Rueda, Hip Hop, Jazz, to name a few. Steven's witty humour coupled with his stylish and smooth moves on the dance floor has gained popularity amongst his students in his classes as well as onlookers on the dance floor. Singapore/India DJ Nishant is one of the upcoming DJs in Singapore. Nishant found his passion for Salsa dancing when he arrived in Singapore and ever since then he fell in love with not only the dance form but the music as well and has spent a significant amount of time and effort in researching on all Latin music to add to his music collection. DJ Nishant is a new comer to the DJ scene but definitely one to watch out for, having only DJ-ed for a short period of time, DJ Nishant is already gaining popularity in Singapore's salsa scene and has been invited as a guest DJ to numerous salsa events held in Singapore and local clubs. |
